The goal of IPP is to connect crafters with professional independent designers in such a way that they can purchase patterns directly from the designers storefronts. Buying direct ensures that the lion’s share of your purchase goes to the artist who created the design.
For designers to apply to be listed they must attest that their products meet the following criteria.
- Patterns must be fully tech edited to their their craft’s professional standards.
- Patterns must be presented professionally in line with their craft’s professional standards.
- Patterns must be represented by professional looking photography.
- Designers must offer pattern support to their customers.
- Stores must contain a minimum of 20 patterns.*
* In the interest of encouraging new designers, stores with less than 20 patterns will be considered on a case by case basis.
IPP is anti-racist and pro-diversity and will not knowingly link to stores that run contrary to these values. Stores that contain patterns that run contrary to these values and /or contain patterns that express or promote hate speech will not be listed and if such listings are discovered they will be removed without notice.
