Nina Machlin Dayton has been knitting, designing, and teaching for more than 40 years. A native New Yorker, she now lives in the beautiful Pioneer Valley in western Massachusetts, with her family and cats, in an old Victorian house stuffed to the rafters with books and yarn and color.

“My grandmother and mother were and are amazingly talented with any form of needlecraft, so maybe I come by this passion genetically. I take a lot of inspiration from their work, and from vintage styles in general.”
